At the press of a button, valid terms can be inserted directly at the cursor position into any software that allows text input via clipboard. Thus, for example, coherent terminology checks and corrections are possible within the Microsoft Office family, as well as directly in the creation of parts lists, drawings, presentations, websites and much more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"252\"><div data-id=\"252\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>What is the so called Author support?<\/div><div data-id=\"252\" class=\"answer\"><p>Thanks to the integrated author support, the list of selectable terms changes during input into the input box of the TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> bar\u2013 only terms containing the typed string are displayed. This ensures the searched term is found quickly and easily, and can be inserted at the cursor position.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"254\"><div data-id=\"254\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>What is the difference between term- and concept-oriented? What about TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>?<\/div><div data-id=\"254\" class=\"answer\"><p>TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is deliberately term-oriented. By capturing further information on a term, such as abbreviation and description, as well as linking to other terms, files and\/or websites, concept orientated work is possible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"256\"><div data-id=\"256\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>How is TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> supporting the creation of terminology? How do existing terms enter TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>?<\/div><div data-id=\"256\" class=\"answer\"><p>To fill the terminology, TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> offers the following functions:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Import:<\/strong> Import of existing whitelists, blacklists or complete lists formatted as text (columns separated by semicolon), Word or Excel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit:<\/strong> Manual entry of allowed and non-allowed terms and their additional information (description, reason for prohibition, translations).<\/p>\n<p><strong>TermExtract:<\/strong> Automatic extraction of words from a document (text or Word format) which are not contained in a so-called stopword list. This method is also recommended for the final control of documents on different spellings of the used words.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Translation:<\/strong> Import of translation lists and creating language assignments between allowed terms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Export:<\/strong> Export the current terminology to .csv and .xls files. These can be imported by means of import, and thus form a simple interface between users who do not access the same database.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"258\"><div data-id=\"258\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>Is it possible to manage customers with different terminological specifications and priorities separately?<\/div><div data-id=\"258\" class=\"answer\"><p>TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> offers a two-level access concept: You can define customers and assign them to responsible persons who are able to immediately maintain the terminologies of their customers. For every customer, you can define several terminologies (context), so that you can handle special cases as well. This makes it possible to manage terminologies by different responsible persons, e.g. for different customers or business units \u2013 without losing sight of them.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"260\"><div data-id=\"260\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>What is the difference between the whitelists, blacklist and the complete lists?<\/div><div data-id=\"260\" class=\"answer\"><p>The whitelist consists of allowed terms, optionally with abbreviation and description, as well as additional fields, if defined.<br \/>\nThe blacklist consists of non-allowed terms with their allowed terms, optionally with a non-allowed abbreviation and a description stating why the entry is not allowed.<br \/>\nThe complete list combines both lists. Its structure corresponds to the blacklist, but the list contains additional lines with allowed terms.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"262\"><div data-id=\"262\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>Can images and other files be integrated into TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>?<\/div><div data-id=\"262\" class=\"answer\"><p>You can add links to files into the description field of a term, as well as links to internet pages and to other entries in the terminology list. Direct integration of files is not possible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"264\"><div data-id=\"264\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>Is TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Unicode-capable?<\/div><div data-id=\"264\" class=\"answer\"><p>Yes, TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is Unicode-capable and supports terminology management for all languages, including languages that do not use the Latin alphabet, e.g. Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese, etc. The only prerequisite is that Arial Unicode MS is installed on your PC.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"266\"><div data-id=\"266\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>Can a term be maintained in several languages?<\/div><div data-id=\"266\" class=\"answer\"><p>Yes, terms can be created in several languages. In the selection list of the TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> bar, all the translations and other accompanying information stored for a term are displayed using the F1 function.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"275\"><div data-id=\"275\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>Can users without writing rights suggest new terms or changes in the existing terminology?<\/div><div data-id=\"275\" class=\"answer\"><p>TippyTerm\u00ae has a built-in workflow: All users can make suggestions for whitelists and blacklists of any terminology, using the TippyTerm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> bar, TermExtract or the \u201cKeyword\u201d section. The database will typically be available as a file on the file system and be available to all users. Users must have write access.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"parent-posts\" data-id=\"281\"><div data-id=\"281\" class=\"question\"><div class=\"icon\"><\/div>Is multiple simultaneous access (read\/write) to the database possible for different users?<\/div><div data-id=\"281\" class=\"answer\"><p>Yes, multiple simultaneous access is possible.
